These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of WanderBuddies (the "Service"), accessible at wanderbuddies.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use WanderBuddies. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us at support@wanderbuddies.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law;
- post content that is false, misleading, harassing, discriminatory, or infringing;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts;
- use automated tools to scrape, collect, or harvest data from the Service;
- transmit viruses or malicious code.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you post (trip listings, messages, profile information). By posting, you grant WanderBuddies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of your content.
6. Travel Arrangements
WanderBuddies is a platform that connects people who wish to travel together. We do not sell, arrange, or provide travel, accommodation, or insurance. All travel decisions, bookings, payments, and arrangements are made directly between users. WanderBuddies is not a travel agent, tour operator, or common carrier and assumes no responsibility for the outcome of arrangements you make with other users.
7. Fees
WanderBuddies is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with at least 30 days' notice.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, excluding user content, is owned by WanderBuddies and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written consent.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (for example, Google for authentication). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those services.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WanderBuddies DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WanderBuddies IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM ARRANGEMENTS MADE WITH OTHER USERS. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Germany, to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
